MERRY X'MAS 2006 to my dear Friends and Relatives and "Relatives",
and May you all have a Great New Year 2007 ahead~!

as a present to you all, hee, i have updated the 3rd Day of the Korea Trip...
with lots of pics(70 pf it).... the last bits is definately suitable for this festive mood~!

DAY 3 - 10/10/06
(Korea is 1hr ahead of SG)

some of the guys chose to sleep in late till about 11+am before waking up.

for those that got up at 7-8am for breakfast, used the time after breakfast to explore the surrounding around the Hyundai Sungwoo Resort.

Lunch was at 12-12.30pm @ the Resort's ballroom.

1pm we got up the 2 coaches and proceed to the Wonju Stadium to get the bigger wind inst and percussion inst.

this afternoon we're having a street parade, all participating bands includes involve in the fringe performances but not the main tattoo show are marching and marching during this parade.

in short you see all the bands that are involve in the entire festival.


we reached the starting point of the parade at abt 1pm. we just hang around, taking photos with other bands, trying to chat with them despite the language different...

seeing so many musicians from all around, music is indeed the international language.

i 1st knew him when he came over to guest play for nypSB, when he was still in sec3.
now everyone tinks he's my younger brother... even the guy working in the 7-11 outside my camp tinks so too.

at 4pm, the parade finally marches off to bangs of confettis along the way.

we marched and played for a short distance of about 2km. the street parade kinds of like bring in the town's pple, tourists to come together @ the wonju stadium this evening, which is the official opening ceremony of the wonju tattoo 2006.


we had some free time b4 7pm, so we went to the drinks stall outside the stadium...
at 1st most of us bought the ice-cream to try, cos the packaging is really attractive, and most of the flavours or ideas is not seen in Singapore.

after ice-cream, some got hungry, hahaha, then starting buying snacks, .....





someone bought cup noodles, which triggered a lot to go buy n try also, just to see is there anything diff about their cup noodles n our's. ^_^v







a lot of the stalls/booths are set-up but not open for business yet. i guess, the stalls will be open tomorrow after the festival is open tonite.

United States of America Eigth Army Band's Trombone Section
talk to 2 of them almost every other evening as their band's show is just after us.
they're quite surprised that almost the whole band was not a student any conservatory of music.


7pm, the various cultural performances by the host country.

All of the main bands of the festival marched into the stadium after the pre-ceremony performances and awaits the speeches and official opening.

after the festival was declared open, all the bands marched out of the stadium, some of the bands was selected to perform for the opening.


as our officers was still in the stadium watching the whole show, the band had our packed dinner outside the stadium at the carpark. everyone's was exhuasted from the long wait, standing around, 5 speeches(which was in korean, so we didnt noe when each speech ended until the vip stopped talking), opening msg....

so we had our dinner ard 9pm, halfway thru it, the show was about to end, and the grand finale of the opening ceremony of cos includes fireworks. so we were finishing our dinner while enjoy the musical fireworks upclose.....

after our officers had join us at the coaches, we then proceed back to the Resort. for a nice hot bath, supper, and camping @ the internet cafe.
