"wow wee~"

for those who doesn't know wad's going on...

sry, it's partly my fault...
i haven't been updating again....

the last 3 weeks was preparing for the charity concert on 19th nov (sat)

had a dining-in performance for the SAF Medical corps on 18th nov (fri)....

the dinner started late, so everything was delayed...
by the time we got back to camp after the performance...
it's 12am le....

i'm lucky i not involve in the mdc orchestra....
cos those involved had to report like in 6hours time...
they have to report to work at 7am, then proceed to Singapore Conference Hall...
and start the rehearsal at 9am.......

while the rest still can sleep a bit longer... n only report to work at 1230pm...

anyway, i just bought the new O2 XDA II mini (black edition)
was tempted into buying it...

cos my colleague was eyeing it... n he bought it...
now, i'm kind of regreting the rash decision....
cos i'm looking at the up-coming O2 Atom....~!

anyway.....

the charity concert started 20mins later then scheduled...
(i wonder why~?)

the 1st half is performed by the MDC(Music and Drama Company) Orchestra...

The MDC, is a privatised company of SAF....
it provides the dancers, actors, singers, musicians needed for road-shows, dinner performaces....

something like saf bands...
but we're more on parades, n music side...

they're more on acting, dancing, singing....

the orchestra is formed by:

Strings:
their present players, some of the reservists, some guest players from acs(i), acjc, ri, ajc.

Winds:
woodwinds-the bassoonist is theirs, flute, clarinet, oboe is ours'.

brass-some of the saf central band guys, some lao jiao reservists(eg. thiam hee, david wong, yap thien soo, eddy teo).

Percussion:
4 from our side, forgot how many is their's....

they played pieces like dance of yao, chinese spring overture, lan hua-hua (featuring a er-hu soloist from Singapore Chinese Orchestra).....

2nd half of the concert...

is a collaboration of the SAF Central Band, MDC dancers, and a puppet troupe known as puppets n mascots specialists....

we did a little musical-play....

the puppets acted out the scenes,

the dancers come in various parts of the scenes as fairies,

the band of cos provides the music background.....

World of imaginations
---------------------

tells the story of a little boy joey....
who's imaginations, brought the world in his books alive...

1st stop - under the sea...

joey met various creatures from the sea....
from schools of little fishes, to a gigantic octopus from the deep sea~!

next - on land

joey bumped into a huge bunch of bees n a hungry bear looking for honey to eat

finally - in the air

birds n flying creatures of all sorts...
dragonflies, ostriches, flamingoes, peacocks, the "pheonix"~?!?

having a good rest yest(sunday) aft the concert...
met elsie for lunch b4 sending her to work...

she was away for a week with her mum to thailand...
they went there with some of her mum's church frens....

she only arrived back on sun morning 2am...
but her work place's clerk... stupid idiot..
told tt person not to put her on schedule to work on sunday le cos her flight back is 1-2am.... but still put.... then so bo bianz....

i sent elsie to orchard b4 taking mrt back to tpy n took bus73 home.....

going to teach later....

then will be going to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with 21 people...
hahahaha.... mostly my colleagues, n abt 3 of them bringing their partners along... which of cos, i'm bringing elsie lah...

next projects....

changing-of-guards in dec will be done by SAF Central Band...

normally is the 2 parade bands taking turns, every 1st sunday of the month...
marching down orchard road...

from the little road btw hello!shop n heerens....
march all the way down to the front gates

but this time,
4th dec sunday,

the SAF Central Band is going to march down orchard rd...
we'll normally reach our holding area behind hello!shop ard 4.30pm...

then we'll get rdy ard 5.15pm...
we'll start marching off at 5.45pm sharp....(unless b'cos of unforeseen circumstances)

of cos got 1-2 more dining-in b4 the end of the yr...

got the extra 5th ocs for this yr...

but after 4th dec... i should be not excused by my sl from all these performaces n parades to concentrate on my exam...

i must thank frens who turned up, hoped they've all enjoyed the concert...

esp. the 2nd half...

must says thanks to fenzzy, meina, cheryl for coming....

saw quite a few others before the concert, during the intermission, after the concert...
eileen, jiahui, sueanne, yongxiang....

haiz....
no one buys flowers or soft toys for mi for concerts le~!!!!
my days are over~!
not popular anymore le~!

now my left elbow also feeling rather ache-ky...
