Happy Chinese new year to all my Chinese friends~

Happy Lunar new year to all my other friends...

to those who hates new year or thinks tt there's nothing to be happy about...
hope u enjoyed 2 days of public holiday~
isn't tt something to be happy about?
if not... throw in a off or leave on friday(11th feb, tt's today) then u got a 5 days long weekend~!

one thing i learnt/reconfirmed this new yr....
is that.....
ang paos keeps getting lesser and lesser with age~

spent the last month before chinese new yr stoning at home cos of my 19 days mc...
spent it playing maplestory at nite till morning... sleep, watch the feng yun part 2 series during the day... then maplestory at nite again~
it's a no life-vicious cycle...

then went back to work.... barely 1 week aft i restarted work...
it's my company's annual dinner n dance @ the Chervons~

didn't get a cert. this year cos nv take any exams last yr....
hope next yr can get my ltcl cert maybe?

seems like all 4 trombone regulars are taking our Licentiate diploma this yr...
2 taking LGSM, 2 taking LTCL...

AND YESH~!!!!!! i finally got promoted to my next higher rank...
2SG = 2nd Sergeant...
looks like a normal 3rd sergeant rank but got a roof above it~!

oh man.... 5 yrs 3sg....
my 3sg overdued for 3.5yrs...

anyway.. it's finally here...
was presented the promotion letter from my senior director of music... Maj Philip Tng...
during the AD'n'D.... but the 2sg starts effective on 1st feb...

OH HELLS YEAH~ ^_^v

sorry.... excuse my outburst...
hee~ ^_^v

anyway.... life is calm n slow at central band for now....
but soon full band practs gonna bring up soon..
cos we performing at the Esplanade on the 27th feb(sunday) 3pm...
it's free.... no nid tickets.... just make sure u go to que up outisde the concert hall's door at least 30mins before hand...
so if u reach there aft 2.45pm... forget it... walk go to the esplanade cove,..... n dive in the singapore river...
cos confirm no seats liaoz....

erm.... yah... something like... ignore the jump into river part..
but yeah, try to start queing b4 2.30pm...
means start queing from
2-215pm.... for good seats....
215-230pm to fill the rest od the seats....
230-245pm, pray u got seats...
245-3pm, start walking to suntec have do some shopping instead...
or go suntec's nydc n get some mudpie to get over the loss of missing out a wonderful concert...
which is free... making things more sad for u if u gonna miss it~

and the members of the central band tt's performing...
is most likely the same group tt's playing for may's concert with James Barnes....
and july's wasbe conference...
so it's the group's first concert together..

n featuring most of ur familiar regulars like myself....
and quite a few new NSFs and REGs tt signed on last yr...~
