CONCERT UPDATES~!!!!

March 2006

20th - St Patrick's School Military Band
Esplanade Concert Hall

Guest bands includes St Pat's Alumni Band;
and the Brass Band from St. Stephen's School~!

Ticket sales thru Sistic or any current SPSMB members.

24th - NUS symphonic band
University Cultural Centre

Featuring in this concert is SSO's Freddie performing Bert Appertmont's
trombone solo "Colors for Trombone" with the NUSSB.

April 2006

9th - Singapore Armed Forces Central Band
Esplanade Concert Hall
3pm

Organized by Esplanade, it's a concert series free admission to the public -
Entitled 'Beautiful Sunday' happening on 1 sunday each month, to raise
awareness to the music scene n the Esplanade.

Free Admission
(start queueing before 2.45pm to avoid disappointments)

Mon + Tue last week was quite free for me in camp....

was rehearsing our display steps for the SAF Day parade.

Wed - had g.o.h in the morning @ mindef...

Thur, Fri - OCS graduation parade rehearsal.

Sat - OCS parade actual

Sun - had a 8 piece marching band gig for a corporate company's top-sellers award ceremony.
(hee, had fun.... booked a maxicab to n fro the journey....)

must be something tt i ate on last nite...

hmmm...

cos woke up this morning super-bad stomachache....

so no energy after tt... then called my office say i go report sick in camp...
then camp doctor gave me 1 day mc to rest lor....

haiz...

few projects coming ....
still months away.....

but i'm more in the organizing part, so started to be more buzy for me now le...

haiz...

nothing much to write.....

anything new i'll keep u guys inform la...

for those eagle-eyed...

i believe you guys noticed it written in my tagboard...

so here it is...

i got my results on 24th feb(thur) for the LTCL - Licentiate(Recital) Diploma in Trombone i took last dec on the 22nd dec...

i passed~!!!!

then on 27th feb(mon) my 2 other section mates got the results for their LGSMD - Licentiate(Recital) Diploma in Trombone they took last dec on the 4th dec...

guess wad~!!!!
they passed too~!!!!

omfg~!!!

so exciting now.... all 3 of us higher certified then our soccer captain....
like that how?

dunno lah...

nothing loh....

several concerts coming up...

march - performing with st pat's alumni band as a guest band for the main band's concert...

april - saf central band performing at esplanade for the 'beautiful sunday' concert series organized by esplanade.

may - saf central band performing their own 'in harmony' concert....

so tired.... especially during the week tt i got my result...

cos tue, wed got parade reh till 7pm for a parade on tt fri...

then tt thur morning, at first only goh parade @ istana for a visiting foreign delegate.....
but just after reaching istana @ ard 8am.... we received a call from our band's office saying tt right aft the goh, we're to go back camp, wash up / rest a bit, then proceed to esplanade for the funeral ceremony reh for the late Mr S Rajaratnam....

then during a break at the esplanade..... we had a break from 315-4pm.... we went to marina square's foodcourt for some desserts....

zhongqing - my camp fren.... receive a call from 1 of our warrant officers.... informing him of our results....
(shld have seen his face when he heard it.... cos the 4 of us tt took our dip from trinity, passed... cecilia took her atcl... zq, winston n me took our ltcl....)

4pm - we went back for another round of reh....

aft the reh, during our dinner break.... i noticed our band officers... most of them in fact(except for some of them not involved in the reh.) walked towards our resting area... then i saw the warrant came walking with them...

omg.... he came from parkway to pass the results to maj tng to look at it... after which... cpt chua announced the results~!!!!!

hahahaha....
great news for a tiring week, and but it's a sad weekend for Singapore and Singaporeans~

fri - went over to stagmont for the parade... 40th anniversary of 1 of sg's 7 major army vocations...

sat - went esplanade for the memorial ceremony....
aft tt got to stay in camp for my b.o.s. duty.....

tt's the whole week from 20/02/06 - 26/02/06.....

then the this week just past by with the released of the results of those tt took their diploma with guildhall.....

mon, tue had band audition for the recruits from bmtc sch 1...

and some display drills, full band n individual practs....
