still preparing for my LTCL exam...
the dates still not out yet...
wondering wad's taking them so long...
my piano accompaniment havent started...
stress~!!!!
trombone choir concert venus still havent found,
cant apply for nac grant if we didnt at least confirm a hall, the proposed repertoire n choir write-up is done le~!!!!

quite a bit of things for me to juggle rite now...
thanks to the other choir members for volunteering to help mi in sourcing for some of the informations needed~!

does it really matters if a person purposely starts spelling "RESPONSIBILITIES" WITH "L.E.S.P.O.N....." just for the fun of it...
does leadership qualities matters so much, tt a captain nid not necessarily be the best player in the "soccer field"...?
maybe he doesnt have to be.... but does tt allows him to be the worst player? with any nsfs coming into band c who kick a ball with a better tone then the leader?
during "soccer" training, it's quite hard to understand wad he wants, when he keeps commenting tt we're kicking it the wrong way...
and demostrate in a way tt's far worst then how we're kicking it...
omfg...
the tone, the tongue, the wadeva the fark it got to do with his playing..
i noe he sucked, we noe he sucked~!
i guess the higher management noes he sucked in his tonal dept....
but he definately have deprove in his playing over the last few months...
last week was it...
while trying to demo his juggling, he actually drops the balls some many times.... that it's no longer a smooth slur on the lips...
wad have he been doing the last few months...? not using his mouth the way it suppose to be...
but go n practice his lips on the double revolving blades of the "Chinook"~?!?!?!

SAF Charity Concert 2005
"WORLD OF IMAGINATION"

The SAF Bands, SAF Music & Drama Company and the Mascots and Puppets Specialists together, are proud to present this year's Charity Concert entitled: World of Imagination on 19th November 2005 (Saturday) 7:30pm at the Singapore Conference Hall .
This year, the concert will raise fund towards nurturing 48,161 less advantaged children supported by the Community Chest of Singapore. The concert promises to be an evening filled with fun and laughter suitable for children and the whole family.
Journey into the wonder of adventure and a world of make-believe with Mascots and Puppets Specialists (MAPS) through the eyes of a young boy, Joey, who meets magical dancing books, creatures of the sea, and dancing flocks of flamingos. This fantasy world is created by puppets of up to 20 feet in height, drawing from ancient marionettes and the classical Japanese Bunraku. The music is set to music accompaniment by the SAF Central Band, under the baton of Senior Director of Music, MAJ Philip Tng.
MAPS is a puppetry production company founded by puppeteer Frankie Malachi Yeo in 2004, MAPS is based on Japanese Bunraku puppetry, an ancient Japanese art form believed to have originated in the 1600s. Its vision is to promote the awareness of puppetry as an art form in Singapore and to raise the standards of puppetry to an international level.
The night will also feature the SAF MDC Orchestra under the baton of MAJ Tay Soon Huat, performing Spring Festival Overture, Dance of the Yao Tribe and featuring guest soloist, Ms Tao Kai Li on Er-hu.

I believe that the tickets is free again for this concert...
but there'll be a box at the ticket collection counter where you guys can pledge any amount of donation as you like....
so the method of reserving the ticket is still the same, you guys can call my main office line, and place a reservation with the duty personnel.
each caller(Full name/NRIC) can book up to 2 tickets only...
no mass or bulk orders from schools/organizations

went for my bmi assessment again...
hmm...
my bmi slightly better on oct'05 at 0.7 index lesser then feb'05....
but my bmi still fail..
so i did the fat percentage test...
the benchmark to pass is below 25....
so if kana 25 or more is fail...
so the medic measured...
and the result...
my body fats % = 19% ~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
hahahhaa
so overall i cleared my bmi for this yr...
hehehe..
my bmi fail...
cos my weight too heavy for my (height)2...
but it's not b'cos of my fats.....~!!!!

ndp now also long past...
2 months in fact..
so many things have happened,....
during the block offs aft ndp...
my n several of my camp frens met up for badminton...
and now my bunk mates n i plays it regularly almost every nite in our camp's badminton courts...
now is 5 of us playing regularly..... then joined by some others from the diff bunks...
we even took turns to buy rolls of shuttlecocks...
bringing our rackets....
buying our own rackets for those who doesnt have one...
even to the extend of buying the net n using pole as make-shift net poles...
but it works fine...
(as the hall's net n poles are locked up in the store aft office hours...)
not bad la...
lost abt 5-6kg i tink...
another 5kg to go...
hahahah~
had a outdoor performance on 2nd oct @ botanic garden...
it's a children day's performance...
SAF Central Band collaborating with a puppet troupe...
titled "World of Imagination"....
story tells of a little boy named 'joey'...
hu's imaginations brought his storybooks alive....
taking him on a journey under the sea, on a carribean island...
n coming face to face with a gigantic firebird~!
so the puppet troupe act out the scenes with 90 puppets...
and central band provided the music...
huge turn-out in the audience....
a lot of kids...
all fancinated by the puppets...
even a dog barked at 'joey'....
the 1st puppet to appear on stage....
we had a sec sch band coming to our camp for a band exchange...
it's a new thing for us...
it was proposed by 2SG(ORDed)Meina...
and it happened on sept'05....
it's sort of a saf band familiarisation program...
sort of like an out-reach to the students in sch bands...
the 1st sch tt came is Fuhua Sec Sch Band...
under Ms. Doreen Tan...
been a while since i saw her or performed in her band...
(she used to conduct mi in moulmein wind ensemble, which also had a combined concert with shuqun sec sch band.)
another familiar i saw in the sch band was a trombonist who played with mi in mus'art.. it's Ms. Lai Xin Lan...
last i heard she was in nie for the trainee teacher course in 2001...
now she's a teacher in fuhua n also 1 of the teacher-in-charge of the sch band...
anyway, the band arrived in the morning.... was welcomed by our officers, had a talk, then a guided tour ard our building "White House" of Nee Soon Camp....
then it was tea break n section masterclasses held by our Section Leaders....
Fuhua had 5 trbs tt day... MY S.L. hosted the masterclass for trbs.... 1st time i saw him teach... eye-opener....
then it's lunch break... then combine full band in the 'E.E. Dragon Hall'...
we played 2 piece, then they played 2 piece, n we combined n played another 2 piece...
haiz.... one of their trombonist then asked mi.... u are keith izzit...
i was wondering... huh, i noe her meh...?
dun remembering toking to any fuhua pple b4....
then she say she went to mus'art on the sunday b4 coming here....
then she met jon from trombone choir.... and apparently he's been telling her abt mi...
nothing positive.... damn....

so she exchange contacts with mi...
she came to watch the children day performance at botanic...
she gave mi n ronnie(my brother also a trombonist in central band) a drawing each...
it's good her drawing...
it's Sakura from Clamp's Cardcaptor Sakura...
she noes i like manga n animes...
so happens tt she loves to draw...
so she draw for us as gifts...

ocs parade was on 1st oct...
so worked on both sat n sun...
now 2 days off...
hahahah~!

i'm preparing now for my LTCL exam at end of the year.... everyone pls pray for me...
for those not familiar with the levels of music examinations...
in saf.... we, the regulars are required to take thoery n practical exams...
in music.... there's the entry level of grades 1 to grade 8 exams...
followed by the diploma level of exams...
in music diplomas, there's 3 levels....
Associate, Licentiate, Fellowship...
for my practical exam, i'm doing Licentiate, Trinity College London end of this yr....
taking a jump from my last exam, grade 8....
skipping the associate n going st8 to licentiate...
quite a lot of us are taking our licentiates this yr...
a few of the more senior regulars took theirs last yr...
ok la...
hopefullying i can update more often...

it's another 1.5 months since i last blogged~!
been a long time since i actually had time to read other's blogs too~!
been staying in almost everynite since barnes concert....
cos of saf day rehs up till 1st july.... then also got wasbe concert rehs till 15th july, n still got ndp rehs on every sats....
saf day over.....

phew~!!!!!!!
hope got more time for myself n elsie~!
havent been able to meet up with her too...
only gets to meet her like once a week only~!
The 12th WASBE INTL Conference held at Esplanade Concert Hall/Suntec Convention Centre.... was on 10th July to 16th July...
with 2 concerts everyday(3.30pm and 7.30pm) at the Esplanade Concert Hall by different bands from ard the world...
eg.
10th - Singapore Chinese Orchestra & korea navy band,
11th - Hong Kong Wind Philharmonia & university of florida,
12th - west winds, north rhine youth band from germany,
13th - senzuku gakuen from japan,
14th - frysk fanfare orchestra from holland, boston brass from usa,
15th - etc, etc.....
you get the idea~
